Dr. Bates is a board-certified physician and back pain sufferer. A few years ago, he had an accident while moving and he herniated all 5 disks in his lumbar spine. He suffered from intense spasms and sciatica that numbed and deadend his right leg. He was barely able to function, needing injections of strong anti-inflamatories almost daily just to keep seeing patients in the hospital.
His loving wife finally convinced him to try yoga. He wasn’t a fan of the idea at first. He grudgingly tried it and found such quick and lasting relief he now teaches every one of his patients about the benefits of yoga for back health.
