Siegfried started his medical career over 30 years ago as an emergency medical technician in California and now is practicing as a nurse practitioner in Colorado. He graduated top of his class in 2009 from the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing in Hyden, KY. Siegfried is board certified in both emergency nursing and critical care nursing and has spent his entire career in the acute care setting. Siegfried is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and The American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. While working in the emergency room Siegfried became interested in ultrasound because this tool allows faster and more accurate diagnosis and has completed a fellowship in this. He has published and taught nationally on the subject of ultrasound. In his time off Siegfried loves to climb fourteeners and bicycle around Colorado. He has completed four Ride the Rockies and hopes to do at least four more.
